Nissan Latio

Last week, my mum told me that my dad's boss's brother told him that the boss bought 2 Nissan Latio. 1 for their brother, Ah Pin, and another for my dad to drive.

As it's not the boss who told my dad, I told him to keep quiet first. In the end, my mum almost leak out the news on Saturday and I had to 'shut her up'. She is always like that. Can't keep things to herself.

Imagine if she told my cousins, my grandma, etc. And they expecting my dad to be driving. Plus, my cousins always want my dad to drive them home Won't it be a disappointment for them if the Nissan Latio is not for my dad to drive?

Anyway, yesterday afternoon, my dad's boss's brother called Ah Pin and my dad into the office to draw lots to get the car plate number. My mum called and told me.

When I was at TBSC, while wanting to go up to the main hall to chant, my dad called and tell me the news and that he had already drove the car back from the salecenter and will be driving that from then on.

Well, there are pros and cons to drive a Latio or a Cabstar (previous vehicle that my dad drove).

Cabstar: front seats, 1 driver and 2 passengers (but pretty cramp), back still can comfortably sit like up to 13 person on nice cooling weather.
Latio: 1 driver and 4 passengers only.

That day, I told my mum that and feedback about the number of passengers for Latio especially when my cousins always wanted my dad to drive them back. The cousins side got like their mum, their maid, and 3 of them. Then if plus my mum, even my grandma and me. This is impossible and crazy.

And my mum would like say 'my cousins' want me to go swimming with them, etc and asking my grandma along or even like go IMM with them, etc (even on Sunday when my mum need not look after them). This is maddness...

Guess what is my mum's reply? 'It's ok lah. Backseats can squeeze.' OMG! I can't imagine that... I told her what about the barang barang, and she said can put in the boots. What if the boots dirty caused of my dad's job nature? And not all the things are suitable to be placed in the boots wor.

Sitting at the back of the Cabstar, in the sun on a Sunday after my dance training due to my cousins is already maddness. Don't tell me, now, I got to squeeze with them? If I don't go, my dad would say I don't like to go out with him, my mum would 先斩后奏 by promising my cousins that I would go with them, my mum would black face.

Can't imagine my mum actually said it's ok. If she say so, she'll mean it. *fainted*...

Asst Lab Manager Got Angry? Oops!

Today, I made my asst lab manager mad. Oops!!! LOL!!!

Anyway, this is not the first time he replied, 'Please do not add any recipient in the CC without informing.' But of course this is the first time I got this email. He always got angry when people CC his email out even if it's to necessary personel.

Well, to speed up my work, I reply his email & CC to d main 'Head' who make the final decision. If the 'Head' reply, then I can proceed immediately instead of waiting for my manager to look for him to discuss and get back to me. It was ridiculous especially when the 'Head' had already saw the document and signed it. Somemore, I just merely need a word, 'OK' from the 'Head'. It's also not like I addressed all the previous email before that ONLY to him.

Why? Why must he get so jumpy about this?

The only comment I could give is:

If one had done nothing wrong, then he/she won't need to be afraid if the email was being send out.

Do you still remember that I told you before that the darkroom needs a sink after the renovation to install the wall partition? This is because the partition had separated the sink from the Processor when the sink is not required for the other facilities in the new room.

Mum's birthday

Talking about Mum's lunar birthday yesterday remind me of my mum's birthday.

I was having extra long training that day so I was not able to celebrate with my mum.

Guess what!!! My dad bought my mum a bouquet of lilies with roses. So sweet!

Mum's Lunar Birthday

Yesterday was my mum's lunar birthday.

As I did not get her anything this year for her birthday, I took half day leave to go and buy a birthday cake for her.

Due to power interruption, I thought she would go over to my cousins' place so I thought it would be safe to go home and put the cake in the fridge.

At around 3+pm, I heard the door opening. It's my mum and my cousins. Oops... I just kept quiet hoping that she would not opened the fridge but she did. *sigh* Anyway, it doesn't matter.

Anyway, my mum brought my cousins to have dinner and bring them home and waited for me & my dad at their house.

After my music theory lesson, my dad drove me back to fetch my mum. When we called her to come down, my dad asked me to sing birthday song for her. So funny.

Back home, after my dad had his shower and had his meal, I brought out the cake and set on the table and brought out my camera phone. My mum was folding the clothes and said it's ugly to have that as background so I turn the cake over. Then she said I am not in the picture so she don't want to take photo. She was just trying to give excuse not to take photos. But I went to my room and get my camera and the camera stand. My mum had no choice but to go along. LOL...

Power Interruption

Yesterday, there was a power interruption for my blk from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 4pm.

Beginning of the month, there was power interruption at my office on a Sunday. Due to that, I brought my fish home.

However, it seemed like it just can't avoid having power interruption.

But at least for this, I'm not as worried as the power interruption at my house had a break interval with power unlike at my office which lasted continuously for 8 hours.

Anyway, when I reached home at around 2.30pm, power had already resumed.

Music Theory Lesson

Yesterday, I got music theory lesson.

2 weeks ago, teacher said last week will have test on italian terms. I did confirmed with him if it will be from grade 5 only. In the end, last week he gave us test on short score, and transposing. But he reminded us to study as he'll give us the test yesterday. Again, I did confirmed with him if it just from grade 5.

Yesterday, we were given the test but none from grade 5 came out. -.-''' & the teacher asked if the test was difficult. Of course it is. Especially when we memorized only grade 5 terms. ^sigh.

When I told the teacher that he assured us that it would be from grade 5 only, he said that grade 1 to 4 are also part of grade 5. -.-''' *argh*

The youngest in class, Mark, who had been absent for a few weeks don't know about the test. When the teacher went out, Mark started asking around for answers till he and another guy made an agreement that each of them give an answer. LOL

Mark tried asking for more, but I just said I think those are from which grade.

Even though it was a test, I guess it's the first time that all of us kind of chatted. Especially when Mark got his grade 4 exam results. He got 83 out of 100. WOW!!! Usually he was the last in the class for test. He always failed his test, most of the time never complete his homework, don't know what the teacher is talking about, come in late, forget to come, forget to bring his pencil and eraser. Even the teacher always 'suan' him for being late, etc. So the teacher was amazed or I should say we all were amazed that he scored so well!

Well, when the teacher was not around the class, they all talked about the music theory exam, talk about piano score, talk about practical exam, about the Q&A section. As I never taken any exam before, I was listening to all of them.

They asked Mark when he'll take his practical exam and after checking, he realized the exam is on 2 July. He was shocked to see that he had only 2 weeks left till the exam. It was so funny. The guy whom exchange an answer with him also 'suan' him by saying that since he could study the night before for his music theory exam and score so well, he could do that for the piano practical exam. LOL.

When the teacher came in, he always saw that we were chatting and laughing. He was amazed as we were still having out test. He tried to know what we are chatting but too bad... we already finshed what we talk about when he came in. LOL.

The teacher also asked Mark when was his practical exam, and all of us laugh. The guy that 'suan' Mark still continue and tell the teacher that Mark can practice the night before and will still 'score' well. LOL. The teacher almost fainted when he heard this. So funny.

Oh ya. Back to the test. Not only we were given terms from grade 1 to 4. There is also a test on Cadence. I forgot what is Cadence actually. I had to keep thinking and finally try that method and I think it is correct. *Hoping*

Italian Terms that were in that test were:
accelerando - getting faster
cantabile - in a singing style
grazioso - gracefully
molto - more
pesante - heavy
piu - more
scherzando - playful, joking
sforzando - forced, accented
sostenuto - sustained
troppo - too much

I confirmed got 3 wrong. *sad*

If I never take a look at the other terms before going into the class, I would have gotten 4 more wrong.

'molto' was 1 of the terms which I look at but I got it confused with 'moto' which means movement.*sigh*

Stagnant blog

It's been a while since I update my blog. My good friend from Secondary School complainted that my blog is very stagnant. She complainted not just once but I think twice already. Oops... And she asked me to update. LOL!!!

It's not that I do not want to update. It is because when I have something that I could update, it's either I don't have the time or I'm at home where my internet access is limited.

When I finally got the chance to blog, I already forgot the feeling I had when I wanted to blog.

But Ling, I'll updated as and when possible k.

Getting another CPU?

Due to my current limited internet plan, I'd been looking into unlimited plan and their pricing. And after much checking, I realized that I'll need wireless adapter also for the other CPU that my dad is using.

On Saturday, went with my dad to look for the wireless adapter. We planned to go to the PC Show at Suntec but we were too early as we did not know the time that it start. Thus, we went Sim Lim instead.

After walking around at Sim Lim for quite some time, we manage to get d adapter. At first my dad want to get 2 actually. Cause we have got 3 CPUs at home. 3 persons at home, 1 whom don't know how to use, yet there are 3 CPUs.

For Singnet broadband, there will be service-man coming over to setup but it seemed that they will only fix up to 2 CPUs and they will charge the following one. If really so, then is it necessary to get the guy to fix the 3rd CPU? If not, then there won't be a need for another adapter.

Over at Sim Lim, we were given pieces of papers with promotions, etc. But I paid no attention to those.

Yet on Sunday, when my dad drove me home from my dance training, he told me we should get another CPU as his CPU can't access some function of the page he need to check the work and my CPU are able to do that. So I suggest to exchange CPU with him. But he said his CPU is slow.

Just because that time when I tried to download a program to update his mobile from the internet will take more than 2 hours. But that is the internet speed. Not CPU's problem.

Then he said his CPU also got problem as it hang before. So I told him that we still got another CPU without internet access currently (as there is no need to since there are 2 CPUs already).

He said I don't want to access internet with that CPU. But it's not I don't want to. I did access before but there is no need to. But if needed, just used. Why get another CPU?

There is another reason why he wanted to get another CPU but I shan't say further. (-.-)'''

And he said my cousin, Michelle, current primary 2 kid, can also use the CPU. It's like OMG!!! Is he crazy or what.

I had to tell him that I had to check more informations on the internet plan before he make the final decision to stop him from thinking further. *shake head*
