today, my friend came out with a way to keep awake in lecture (i said so) cos she said she counted the number of times the lecture said, 'er' or something like that when he stammered. LOL.
Anyway, d lecturer gave us a v 'good' news at d end of d lecture. he said d mid-term test will be immediately after d term break & it weight 40%. to me, it's not a test cos it's 2 hour paper in the exam format. so in another words, it's a mock-exam. shit... tt week still got 2 other tests. hopefully our project presentation will be the week after.
s his lesson ended earlier, we went for our late lunch & waited for our next mass tutorial in which d prof apparently forget. & we left after waiting for like 20-25min.
i found tt this semester, most prof aren't worried at all at d pace they r gg. they cant finish what they wanna lecture, they also like that. somemore, still late and today this prof even forget to come. this is definitely not a good sign.
enough for nw. gg do my online discussion postings, reflections, lab report & possibly another 1+ tutorial for tml.

wedding emcee is a failure...
my friend's wedding is over. i did badly as the emcee as i will either say wrongly or will stammer... sighed...
b4 d dinner commence, even last min smsed & called my friends to ask for advices & amend the script till the last min. mayb if i had gotten the script earlier to prepare, the outcome might have been better? aiya, no point looking back lah. just take it as an experience gain ba.
btw, i was sitting with my parents at first, but d table was at the far end where the entrance/exit is. quite a long walk to the stage & back. in the end my emcee partner asked me to go sit with him & his friends (they are my friend's sec sch friends) as they have got an empty seat & it's closer to the stage just that i find it weird as they r so familar with each other. my friend's mum was also puzzled y aren't i sittin w my parents. lol.
when the dinner ended, i find it hard to disrupt them & leave while they chat as my parents r waiting for me & my dad's colleague & son r also waiting for my dad to drive them back but i got no choice.

unpopular prof
was just reminded by my friend of a pretty unpopular lecturer that we have this semester but i shan't named him. even the teaching assistance that help out also doesn't seemed to like him. d way the TA described him was funny.
also b'cos of him, we had a laugh in our 'communication' tutorial. think we were asked to think of a word or so to replace a phase, suddenly rise or something of like that. i suddenly remembered him saying students will be 'ejected' out immediately for not following the rules, etc. & whispered to my friend whom also thought of d word & d tutor heard & said out. d whole class started laughing. I guessed we have a similar gound knowledge since we all had taken d lesson by that prof. lol...

valentine's gift
It was valentine's day yesterday while some will say it's friendship day. Well, below is the little gift which Michelle gave on Friday. I kinda feel paiseh as I didn't prepare any small gifts for my friends.
it came with a note saying:
To: Jess
Happy valentine's day =) according to Rahul in KKHH, friendship is love too, haha. Enjoy your day!
LOL, Michelle
if u wonder what KKHH is, it's a bollywood movie, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, meaning something jus happened. quite a wonderful movie which we enjoyed in our CS119 lectures. the 4 bollywood movies (monsoon wedding, lagaan, earth, & KKHH) screened r so much nicer than chinese movies (crouching tiger, hidden dragon & chunking express).
oso, the LOL isn't laugh out loud. hee. it's lots of love (interpretated by our lecturer's colleague or something like that). haha

Wedding Dinner Emcee
Yesterday morning, got an sms from my friend who is getting married on valentine's day. He asked if I could help him at the dinner to be his emcee. I was stunned when I saw the sms as I am not the type that could bring out the atmosphere like all emcee that I seen before. It's a wedding dinner and it'll be weird if there is no atmosphere.
Furthermore, all the wedding dinner that I went before had a pair of emcees. So will he has? But I do not know his friends. Maybe if have will be better if his friend can bring out the atmosphere but I feel very weird too. It might be a good chance to build up my confidence but my confidence level in front of my parents is always much much lower. So I really do not know if I can do my job well. I do not want to ruin such a happy occasion but my friend said, 'no problem one... don't worry... i will brief you' after I reply him.

Eleven
Have you ever wonder why there is a difference in the pronuncation for certain part of the word which had the same meaning? I never until my cousin (who is just in K1) pronunce the word eleven differently.
Actual: eleven = e-le-ven
His: eleven = el-e-ven just like elephant = el-e-phant
though his pronuncation is not correct but i think he might have got confused as they both start with the same 'ele-' so i guess he's not so wrong afterall.
my mum had a big laugh when she overheard me trying to imitate him.
