Drunk with Tireness

The night before yesterday, I was so 'drunk' that I do not have the energy to move a single muscle.

I remembered last Thursday, even a colleague told me over lunch that I was in bad shape. I guess I had really drained all my energy already. With on coming events, coming up one after another. Sunflower Recruitment, BP Zone Youth Friendship Meeting, then the just past Women in Peace Concert and an upcoming 070707 Performance. Just for all these, had been having extra training on weekdays, right after work.

The night after the Women in Peace Concert on Sunday all the way to the east side of Singapore while I'm living in the West, while trying to clear and pack my stuffs, my dad wanted to watch a DVD movie. Even though the show started, I continued to pack my stuffs and only went to my parents' room to watch the movie after that.

After the movie, I went to wash my 'costume' as I had to return this coming Thursday (another extra training for the 070707 Performance). Only after which then I went to bed.

My bed is the Single size spring mattress but on top of that, there were 2 normal mattress stacking on top of my bed. 1 of which is very flat and soft and will always be slide out of place in the middle of the night especially if I toss and turn or sleep at a wrong position.

That night, in the middle of the night, I felt the mattress was sliding out so I wanted to stand up and pushed it back in place. But as I slided my butt out of the bed to stand up, I literally just dropped down to the floor (no energy to stand up). And I just laid on the floor and fall asleep. Soon after when I opened my eyes again, I tried to push myself up but again, I just slide back to the floor and fall asleep again. And when I opened my eyes again, I tried to lift my arm to at least grabbed my blanket. Again, I failed to do so.

It just seemed like my brain, my mind is not coordinating with my body and that my body just refused to move even slightly. But due to the uncomfort and coldness from sleeping on the hard, cold floor, I could not sleep well also and thus, I keep 'waking up'. So I tried numerous times and finally managed to bring myself back to the comfort of the bed.

Yesterday evening, when my mum saw me pushing the mattresses back in place, my mum kind of laugh at me saying that I'll fall from the bed if I don't pushed the mattresses in place. So I told my mum what happened the night before. She said I seemed like I was drunk. LOL! I guess she was half right. Drunk not in the sense of having too high alcohol content (caused I don't drink). Drunk in the sense of being too tired.

Training at HQ

Yesterday had Sunflower training cum rehearsal at HQ at 7.30pm.

Only knock off at 5.45pm but had to travel from the west to the east and the journey would take like around 1.75 hour without much waiting time. So it could mean that travelling time could take up to 2 hours. That is so crazy.

Well, if I go out at 5.45pm, I'm sure I'll be pretty late. So I went off around 5.25pm. By the time I reach my destination after 3 transfers and without much waiting time, it was already slightly past 7.15pm. So, I'm still early but had not had dinner.

While waiting for the final bus, saw a friend, Meiying. She just knock off and was waiting for bus to go home. As we were queueing for our buses in the bus interchange, we did not managed to chat with each other. But we exchanged a few smses.

I bumped into 2 of my friends on the bus (the final transfer) and they had not eaten yet too. They are meeting the rest to have dinner together so I had my dinner with them. I thought I would be late so I bought an extra burger during lunch and I ate it there. It was already cold but it's ok.

By the time we got ready and went up to the hall, they had already finished their gongyo. At first I thought there will be other groups but that day a friend or 2 said it's only our group so I was kind of surprised to see so many people around.

In the end, we did not have much time to try on the stage. We just had a short warm-up session lead by Winnie, followed by a mark through of positioning for Winnie's group and a trial run for Winnie's group. And following that was my group's mark-through of position and a trail run and they manage to allow us to make a quick mark through of position again.

So after that, we can only find spots to had our brush-up training as we had to pass the stage to the other groups.

Initially, all the place had no air-con or maybe not all the air-con had been switch on plus all of us was so hot after the run-through. But eventually, the air-con were switched on. Felt so much better then.

My left leg almost cramp when we were asked to stay at a particular pose. A ballet pose which we had to balance on our right leg (which is bended) while pointing our left leg out and our arms are suppose to be parallel to our left leg.

Anyway, we were released at 9.35pm and I called my dad to check if he's coming to drive me back or I'll go back on my own. He said that he was still in office just wanting to come out and that he would only reach around 10pm.

At that time, a leader gave us some encouragement so I told my dad that I would call back. Also, I took that time to check with Elvee on how she is going back. If she is taking cab, I'll take with her but she wasn't. She said a friend is driving her back. So I sms my dad to say that I would wait for him. After the leader had given us words of encouragement, Elvee was asking around if anyone want to go back with her. Those 顺路 one. Then Lynn told her that I could go back with her.

She said she thought that my dad is coming so I said that my dad is still in office. She immediately told me to follow her. So I called and tell my dad to go home straight.

In a way, I'm glad I followed Elvee. If I wait for my dad who will only reach around 10+pm, I'll reach home around 11pm as he would go to Singapore Post to open the company's letter box before he go home. As I followed Elvee, I reached home around 10.15pm. So much faster and I could have my shower earlier and my hair could get dry earlier also.

Last week, I went for training at SYC and reach home aournd 11pm and I only manage to went to bed around 1am (my hair was more or less dry then). Yesterday, around slightly past 12am, my eyes just could not stay open and as my hair was almost dry then, I can went to sleep earlier.

Now, I'm still feeling very tired. REally not enough sleep... *yawned* but I got to stay awake as I still have to come to work...

Holidaying

The first time and the last time I went holidaying with my parents for a few days was when I was in Primary 5. It was ages ago and we went to Genting highland

Other than that, the other time I went holidaying was when I was in Secondary 4. I went with the school. We went to Thailand that time.

Last year, my mum's eldest brother got 'jio' us go holidaying together but as that time, my parents started doing a business (which in the end quit), we did not go.

This year, my mum's youngest brother 'jio' us go Genting together. As it had been very long since we last go holidaying, my mum agreed. I did not quite agreed actually especially when the fact that we'll be going with the 3 kids.

There are many reasons why I hope that we need not go.
Michelle, the eldest, Primary 2, easily cried.
Nelson, K2, very blur, pretty naughty.
Wilson, the youngest, 2 yr +, very sticky to the mother, very noisy when mother around, etc, etc.
And when Nelson and Wilson are together, boy and boy together means play, noise, naughty, fight, etc.
Somemore, my uncle's temper had always been unable to tolerate such nonsenses.
And my mum will sure be stuck with the kids, will sure grumble eventually, will sure keep thinking of them, etc.
Somemore, my mum had been too reliant on the Diamond water system at home. Bring water everywhere she go.
Plus, previously, they had another maid who they want to bring along to help take care of the kdis but then that maid went back already. & now they hired another maid but they aren't bringing her along.
etc etc

When people go for holiday, they would want to go and relax or do whatever they want. And not get stuck with other people's kids, with facing black faces, etc. So with all these bits and pieces here and there, I doubt the holiday will be very enjoyable.

But it's also true that we had not been going on holiday. and somemore I can't say 'NO'. So I had to go along.

But as my aunt had been doing everything at a slow pace, she haven't been able to confirm the date and number of days till recently. She only give us a tentative date of either going on the 3rd or the 10th of June. So my dad could not tell his boss and his colleague had confirmed the holiday date with the boss and it clashed with the date if we going on 10/6. Somemore, my dad boss signed my dad for a forklift course on the 8th, 11 and 12th June. This again clashed with the date.

So my mum told my aunt and only then after checking out her possible holiday leaves, she realized she could not take leaves not the 4th, 5th and 6th June.

Therefore, our timing and her timing clashes so we aren't going to Genting. So it can be a good thing for me and my dad and even my mum. And somemore, I can save more leaves and save more money. But it really been very long since my parents took a break and went for holiday.

So it can be good and bad depend on how you see it.

Spend $28 on 'Sea Shells'?

Yesterday, my mum told me that she's searching for clams...

I was wondering why but she just tell me my cousin, Michelle, needs to bring to school on Wednesday. My mum said she forgot about it already and scare will forget again. I was like wondering why need to find clams but she just said my cousin need the shell.

She search for clams at Sheng Siong, at my house market there, at Tampines while waiting for me. And decided to order BBQ seafoods so that we can get clams shells as there is no stock at market and supermarkets. But even BBQ stall at Tampines also don't have clams.

So on our way home, my dad drove us to East Coast and try to find BBQ stall with clams. We manage to find a stall and decided to settle our dinner there. My parents ordered sting ray, vegetable, omelete with oyster and of course the clams.

Only after the meal that my mum told me the whole thing that Michelle told her that she need sea shells (4 or 5 sea shells). That is why she is searching clams for Michelle.

But... 4 or 5 sea shells could means 4 to 5 different type of sea shells. And if you (my mum) not free, can tell my aunt to bring them to the beach what. They could pick sea shells there. Don't need to buy what... I remember once I pick quite a number of nice sea shells. Different type somemore. Even though it's not very big but I did picked some pretty big (almost as big as the size of the clams).

My mum is always obliged to help my cousins get what they need or what she thinks they need. Which she don't have to do it. She could have told my aunt what my cousin need for school what. Anyway, it's her children not my mum's children... (-.-)'''

But since yesterday is mother's day, somemore, we need to have dinner, so I just kept quiet. I should have paid for the meal but then I don't have much cash with me and there is no atm around and I do not know how much it'll cost as it can't be very cheap. So in the end, my dad paid for the meal. I think it was like $28 or something like that.

If not because we need to have dinner, $28 to get the clams shells will be very expensive already.

Blasted with missed calls from home

Last Saturday, I had got an event to attend that I had to skip my piano lesson.

In the morning, had a last minute extra recapped training with my fellow group members for the <<孤单芭蕾>> dance for the Women in Arts Performance on 20/5. After which, we went for lunch together and I went for the event which I suppose to attend.

During the event, I got a phone call from home but it was inconvenient for me to pick up. Immediately after that call was hang up, another call from home rang again.

After that, it stopped a few minutes (like 15 minutes or so), then I got blasted from phone calls again. I didn't remember how many missed call from home but should be at least 10 calls.

I was thinking what I could do then. I can't sms my mum as she does not know how to read any sms. But there is nobody else around her who got handphone also. *sigh*

When I finally decided to sms my dad (when he's at work) to help me convey message that I can't answer any call, my dad called. I had to reject the call to sms him but when I reject the call, home number appear again. Then my dad's number again.

I almost go haywire. When I finally called back, my dad was grumbling that I never tell my mum that I got an event to attend. The fact is I did tell my mum. How on earth do I know she'll keep calling and calling and calling. And even to the extend to call my dad and throw her frustration at him for unable to contact me.

I really hate what they are doing. Like I had to be by the phone all day long, picking up every call they made to me, despite the fact that I convenient to pick up or not. If they can't contact me, they'll keep blasting and blasting my mobile.

Sometimes, I really wish that the technology now aren't that good. How I wish there aren't such things as pagers and handphones.

In the past, I had a pager and they expect me to return call immediately. Then when I had a mobile, once when I sneak to Wild Wild Wet with a friend, I had like 50+ missed calls and even my friend also got 10+ missed calls from my parents. And now this... when I already told my mum I got an event.

They'll really drive me mad eventually...

Then yesterday morning, my dad brought out the topic again which I know no matter what, should not talk about it again as my mum will flare up. When my dad nagged at me for telling my mum that it would only be for a while and that my mum called & throw her frustration at him, as usual, my mum denial throwing her temper and said she was just asking if my dad know where I am. Well, my dad continue on and insist that she wasn't asking nicely and somemore he's working. That's it... my mum flare up again. Saying next time she won't call him ever again when he's at work. That she can't call him to check with him. *sigh*

I guess I won't be surprised if one day, I'm really admitted to IMH... so I'm glad I have Gohonzon. I'll be ok... But still... can't I have peace at home?

Weird dream again

I just don't know what is wrong. Why do I always get weird dreams nowadays?

This morning at 5.30am, I did not wake up naturally. I woke up from a dream. I jumped up wanting to chase my cousins who got on my nerves in my dream.

In my dream, due to some reasons, the study room had been temporary been used as a storage place. There were some stuffs in front of my piano. 1 of the stuffs was cushions stacking on top of each other.

My cousins, the two eldest which my mum help to look after, a primary 2 girl, Michelle, and her brother, a K2 boy, Nelson, was very naughty in my dream. Michelle had all along been cheeky to me but not naughty. So it was unlikely of her.

I don't know why, they keep going into the study room and climbed up and sat on d cushions and lean agains the piano with their butt on the cover of piano keys. That's how high the cushions had been stacked up to. I had to keep chasing them out in case what they doing will spoilt the piano. Even though it takes some efforts to chase them down and out, but they did went out eventually.

And I shifted the cushions away from the piano. When I didn't notice again, they went in and shifted the cushions back and sat there again. This time, Michelle had her butt on the piano keys cover while Nelson had his legs on the cover. And they aren't sitting still. They are moving around on the spot, twisting their bodies and kicking their legs. I almost broke down then.

I had to drag the cushions away to get them down and yet Michelle stepped on the cover of the piano keys to climb even higher and sit on top of the piano. I broke down then. I had scolded them, had dragged them out, had told them nicely, etc. I do not know what else I can do. And when I sat there on the floor and cried, Michelle came down and asked why... They thought it was fun to do that. Forgetting that the piano cost lots of money.

When they finally decide to go out. I was relieved but once at the door, Michelle turned back again... I had to grab some hard and solid stuffs (like small metal rods) to throw at her yet it didn't quite stopped her so I wanted to stand up and chase after her. That is when I jumped & sat up on my bed in the ready position to chase after Michelle who is on my left in my dream. *sigh*
