My dad's wound got infection

My dad's wound seemed weird. Had been asking him to go to the clinic to let the doctor have a look but he stubbornly refused. Had been asking quite a few days but he just won't move an inch.

Well, he injured his leg on 23 August 2007 and had 3 stitches for his wound. 2 weeks later, the doctor removed the stitches. So many days had past since the stitches were removed yet everyday, when I helped my dad washed the dried up wound, I would see fresh stain of blood clot. The 'dried up' wound looked kind of yellowish also. As for the blood clot, usually it was pretty tiny at most about a diameter of 2 mm but there was a night when the fresh blood clot was much bigger. Almost covering the wound. Was very not right. Somemore, over the past 2 nights, my mum and I saw that my dad's wound seemed to dent inwards (more each day).

Saturday when I went to work, it wasn't the 'original' doctor so I never say anything. On Sunday, it was the doctor and when it around 9.30pm and there weren't much patients, I asked the other clinic assistant, JW who is a nursing student and is having her attachment already. She adviced me to get my dad to see a doctor. She told the senior clinic assistant, S, and she also adviced me to get my dad over. So I called my mum to get her to pursuade my dad which in the end, she asked my dad to the phone. My dad can't stand me so he agreed and I registered for him and took out his card.

I was busy when he came so I did not go into the room. My mum told me after they came out that the doctor said his wound had some infection and gave him 2 types of antibiotics and a cream to apply.

I was glad I was working at the clinic where I could seek some advice so that my dad finally give in to see the doctor. Infection isn't something for fun. Hope my dad get well soon!
Below is the picture I finally got from my dad's mobile. It's the freshly cleaned wound at the clinic on the 1st day of injury. I am unsure as I did not see the freshly cleaned wound but my dad claimed that the bone can be seen so I supposed the whitish part might be the bone.
