Surprises!!! Yet not so???

Yesterday was my birthday. It was a busy day for me. Previous years when I was working, I would sort of try to take at least a half day to take a break and rest but this year I got no time to rest. I had dance training in the morning. It wasn't quite a dance training. It was our recruitment and it's my group that are going to do the demo. Demo many times and there were a total of 5 to 6 groups of people who came. In the afternoon, had the Gosho study meeting then in the evening, went to work.

Well, I already had some feeling that my parents were planning some form of surprises or so. They, especially my dad, had been asking me what time was my dance training and what time it end and even asked my dance group got how many people. I told them that there won't be many of us as it was a recruitment day. Only those involved (minority) needs to go.

Other than this clue number 1, there were many other clues which confirmed my conclusion that they were up to something.

2) That day, saw the shape cutter outside in the living room. Asked why my mum put there but she just said she was searching for something.

3) Saw 2 big packets of 'dong fen' on the kitchen table so I commented that if my mum cooked, she'll need to cut as she don't need so much (for normal cooking).

4) My dad asked me if I want birthday cake or will I get 1 for him to eat. He likes the Mango Twirl from Prima Deli.

5) My mum bought packet drinks from NTUC when we don't buy that to drink now.

6) Saturday, my mum said she wanted to make agar agar but the maid was around as my youngest cousin, Wilson, was still asleep. She asked me to help wake Wilson so that he will go swimming with his sister and brother so that their maid will go along.

7) Saturday night, when I got home after work, saw in the kitchen that there are shaper cutter with alphabets that are very distinct. The alphabets were 'H', 'A', 'P', 'Y', 'B', 'I', 'U' and many others. When I picked up the shape cutter, my mum took it back. LOL!

8) Sunday morning, when I went to the kitchen, saw that my mum soak the dried mushroom and 'dong fen' overnight.

9) Saw the frozen 'fried foods' in the fridge instead of the freezer.

10) After the recruitment, Elvee, my leader cum friend, told the rest to go level 1.

11) Received a sms from a friend who left earlier as she had something on and in her sms, she wished me a Happy Birthday and said that she could not stay for my birthday party.

Thus, with all these clues, if I still have no ideas, I must be real dumb.

They don't allow me out through another glass door and when I went to exit via the other door, they had the birthday cake ready with candles that were lit. And 2 tables joined with the fried 'dong fen' and etc etc. I was touched but as I already know there will be such form or surprises, I wasn't touched to tears which Elvee thought I would. LOL!!! And because of this, both of us and my mum were late for the Gosho Study Meeting. Oops!!!

Anyway, here's the picture of the agar agar that my mum made. There were layers of colours if you see carefully. I didn't have a better picture of those layers now as I didn't managed to snap any photos.
